AEP Supports Girls’ Empowerment Workshop in Rodrigues

Promoting Self-Care for Children’s Wellbeing

The Girls’ Empowerment Workshop in Rodrigues, proudly supported by AEP, placed self-care and children’s wellbeing at the heart of its mission—bringing knowledge, dignity, and protection to vulnerable children. Organised by the M-Kids Association, the week-long programme (23rd–30th July 2025) created a safe space for children to discover the value of self-care routines, gain confidence through education, and experience the benefits of quality skincare.

As part of its support, AEP provided Cetaphil Sun Kids sunscreen, ensuring that children received dermatologist-recommended sun protection while learning about the importance of caring for their skin and overall health.

The smiles of the children reflected the power of small acts of care in nurturing dignity, self-confidence, and self-care. By investing in the self-care journey of vulnerable children, AEP is helping shape a brighter, healthier future where every child feels valued and protected.

Why Self-Care Matters for Children

For many children in Rodrigues, access to quality self-care products is limited. Yet simple habits—like protecting their skin and maintaining good hygiene—can make a powerful difference to their confidence, dignity, health, and wellbeing.

The Girls’ Empowerment Workshop in Rodrigues gave participants the opportunity to:

  • Learn about daily self-care routines.
  • Understand the importance of skin protection with Cetaphil Sun Kids sunscreen.
  • Build confidence and self-worth through personal care and education.

While the programme focused on self-care, it also highlighted the importance of child-care support—showing how families, communities, and organisations like AEP can work together to nurture healthier, more confident children.

AEP’s Commitment to Children’s Health and Wellbeing

This initiative reflects AEP’s ongoing dedication to corporate social responsibility in healthcare in Mauritius. Beyond donating products, AEP seeks to empower children and families with knowledge and access to safe, high-quality, effective and affordable products for health and wellbeing.

  • Champion self-care education for children.
  • Promote children’s health and wellbeing in Mauritius.
  • Strengthen communities through meaningful sponsorships and outreach.

At AEP, we remain at the heart of Care—because when children learn to care for themselves, they carry forward a message of strength, resilience, and wellbeing that can transform communities.
